This is Why You Need Lemon Water

I know that not everyone likes the refreshing and tongue twitching taste of fresh lemon juice, but for those who do like the sour taste of lemon juice there are many great reasons why you should start your every day with a glass of lemon water.

I personally have always loved the sour flavour palate especially fresh lemons and limes. I remember myself as a child peeling lemons and eating them like apples, I know it might sound weird, but thats what I liked. These days I don’t eat lemons like apples anymore, but I still love lemon water or lemon with soda and with these health benefits it makes me love the sour sun coloured fruit even more!

1. Immune System

Lemon juice is filled with vitamin C which is amazing for boosting your immune system on daily basis. Vitamin C levels are one of the first to drop when you are under stress which in turn affects your immune system so an extra intake of the vitamin  is highly recommended especially for those who experience a lot of stress on daily basis.

2. Clear the Toxins

Fresh lemon juice with water will help your body to get rid of the toxins and impurities you accumulate on daily basis from the air and food. Not only it flushes out the toxins it will also help you prevent and relieve symptoms of indigestion including burping, heartburn and reduce the bloating.

The high level of Vitamin C in lemons will assist in the production of collagen which is what keeps your skin young, tight and also keeps the wrinkles at bay. Not only it keeps your skin young and fresh lemon juice will also assist those who battle acne by lessening the breakouts on your skin.

  1. Very educational. My Uncle drinks lemon juice often. I don’t think I can stand the taste. I suppose I could dilute it with water like you mentioned.

    1. I have always been a fan of the taste. Actually having a glass of fresh lemon juice and soda right now. Maybe adding few drops of honey can help you deal with the sour taste 🙂

  2. Cranberry juice in its pure form equals or probably exceeds lemon juice for this but it is more tart than lemons- if you can imagine. It’s a great way to purify your liver. The other item which packs a punch for the amount of Vit C is acerola tabs. You chew them and they are also tart but I’ve rid myself of sore throats in a matter of minutes by chewing them. They are aaaawe- sooome !
